Standard grey “broomed” concrete is that grey concrete you see on most council footpaths and around buildings.
It’s a simple, hard wearing material that’s commonly used for driveways, footpaths, patios and steps.
It’s incredibly long lasting, has a smooth overall finish, but considered to be a less decorative and more utilitarian finish.
Exposed aggregate concrete goes down just like that broomed concrete, however, the magic comes afterward the concrete is poured.
A thin, top layer of concrete is washed from the surface with a pressure washer to expose the concrete “aggregate.”
This reveals all of the different colours and sizes of the rock/aggregate within the concrete mix.
Although the finish can be slightly bumpy, the result is a textured, more decorative and colourful finish.

We begin every concrete or landscaping project with an on-site consultation.
At your consultation, you will receive professional advice, lots of suggestions and information on materials, suppliers and also discuss the potential budget needed in order to progress with your project.
After your consultation you will receive a written summary of what was discussed at site – we want to make sure we heard you correctly!
Following this, a quotation along with a basic scaled sketch will also be sent through to help with your planning. A follow-up phone call will also be arranged in case you have any questions.
